8 WEEKS!

I can not believe it! - I am here...8 WEEKS!!! Woop! (and my little babystrology nectarine has changed shape again!)
Now, the question is...when to make my first midwife appointment. Midwives will see you from 9 weeks onwards in this area. There really is no point to make one now though, and probably not much point to make one until I am over 12 weeks pregnant. This is because I am not having any scans or blood tests and they can't really do much to check on baby before then anyhow (and unlike in America, they do not do internal scans here until you are in labour!). But, it might be an idea to go in early just to create the relationship with our local midwife. An NHS midwife is probably not as personal as an independent midwife would be, but we do live in a fairly rural area, so it should be more personal than when we lived in Bristol and I never saw the same midwife twice (let alone, the midwife that was even 'assigned' to me!) - considering there is only one midwife in this area (though, due to shifts and all of that, she may not be the MW I see when I am actually in labour). I am told the MW's in this area are pretty 'alternative' though, so I am looking forward to that. I know seeing a MW sooner would certainly make this pregnancy much more real to me - but I am still not sure how much point there will be in that. I know during a second pregnancy, they do not see you as often as they did if it were your first - but being so long after having my first and living in a new area, maybe they will see me more often throughout the pregnancy. Who knows! - Won't really know until I do something about it though right!?!

Pregnancy Tissue Salt Programme!

My tissue salts (New Era - which I ordered from this site due to their impressive prices and they shipped pretty fast as well! ) arrived yesterday!!! (yay!)
I am doing the 'pregnancy tissue salt programme' - explains more here.

Five tissue salts in total. The 'programme' - roughly (I am not yet two months, but have started already) (taken twice a day or as felt needed):

•Months 2 and 6 Calc Fluor, Mag Phos, Ferrum Phos
• Months 3 and 7 Calc Fluor, Mag Phos, Nat Mur
• Months 4 and 8 Calc Fluor, Nat Mur, Silica
• Months 5 and 9 Calc Fluor, Ferrum Phos, Silica

A closer look at the tissue salts and what they do:

Calc Fluor – for bone development and elasticity of connective tissue, helping
to prevent stretch marks, circulatory problems and varicose veins.

Mag Phos – for nerve and muscle development, therefore reducing the
chance of heartburn and cramps.

Ferrum Phos – for blood oxygenation, hence reducing the tendency to
anaemia.

Nat Mur – for controlling fluid balance, helping to prevent swollen hands or
ankles and high blood pressure, as well as supporting nerves and muscles,
including the heart.

Silica – for building strong teeth, bones and hair and general strength.

TTC Pic n' Mix - Pregnancy/First Trimester Mix

So I never shared my 'winning' pic n' mix mix! So here it is...

First, my daily intake of tablets - enough to make me rattle of course!

We can start from left to right. Morning, Afternoon, and Night (M/A/N) or one each time a day = X3.

1). Omega 3. Good for the prevention of miscarriage.

2). Sanatogen pro-natal. An all around multi vitamin designed for those TTC/Pregnant and breastfeeding. Its full of all the good stuff - including folic acid!

3). Agnus Castus. Balances hormones - increases progesterone where needed!

4). Burdock root. Eliminated excess estrogen.

5). Hemp seed oil - the most cheap vegetarian omega option (more than just omega 3) - good for building babies building blocks!

6). Vitamin D. Essential.

7). B Complex. Also essential.

8). Folic Acid. A must!

9). Not pictured - Maca. I took this like one takes clomid (so CD 2-9). I took 6X 500mg.

And now...

Since becoming pregnant, I have added on a Calcium supplement and Vitamin B6.

The Calcium is because I have gone off a lot of foods due to my morning sickness (aka - nausea) so I am worried that I am not getting enough calcium and I feel this is very important during pregnancy. The vitamin B6 (on the right) is for my M/S! hehe

Also, I have been using a 'Womans Essence' cream and a 'Fertility Enhancing Spray' as well as my 'Childbearing Mix' essence! Things I have found to be greatly benefitial! ...And the proof is in the pudding!...so to speak! hehe

7+1! - This weeks photo!

So here is this weeks photo! - I am into week seven already!

What happened this week:

Baby’s eye lens pits, optic cups and nasal pits begin to form. Baby’s primitive mouth appears. Baby's arms look like paddles. The embryo is now 7mm long. The baby's head is much larger than the trunk of the body, and plates are forming for tiny feet. Oral and nasal cavities are forming. The cerebellum and spleen begin to develop.

Wow!

7 weeks today!

And look - my little blogger nectarine ticker has changed its shape! So amazing! I am so happy to be here!
My first pair of maternity trousers arrived today as well. Ebay of course - but brand new Blooming Marvelous maternity jeans - £5.99...a bargain!!! They are comfy. I don't need to wear them now, but most of my other trousers/jeans are much too tight for comfort. These have plenty of room for growth though! :)

6+1!

Just over six weeks today - and here is the weekly photo!

Not sure I am getting much bigger at this point! hehe - But I am still bloated. I also don't think it helps that my tummy muscles never really went back together after having my son!

What happened this week:

Early evidence of eyes and inner ears. The neural tube (later known as the spinal cord) begins to fuse. Baby is now growing rapidly. Tiny buds that will soon form the arms and legs appear, along with eyes, liver and the digestive system.
The embryo measures 4mm.
